Routines & connectors

An assistant that shows up before you ask.

Routines run on a schedule, read what Whimbrel already knows about your work, and hand you the brief, the recap, or the draft.

Meeting prep

Before each meeting: who's attending, what you discussed last time, and what's still open.

End-of-day recap

What you worked on, what you decided, and what's waiting on you, written for you at the end of the day.

Focus time

Finds gaps in your calendar and blocks focus time so deep work doesn't get scheduled away.

Weekly digest

A summary of the week's meetings, decisions, and progress, ready for your status update.

Your schedule, your rules

Run any routine on the cadence you choose, and review results in the routines inbox when you're ready.

Built on MCP

Connectors for Gmail, Google Calendar, and Outlook 365, plus a local MCP server so your other AI tools can use your memory.

Routines FAQ

Which apps can Whimbrel connect to?

Gmail, Google Calendar, and Outlook 365 (calendar and mail) today. Connectors use the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so new ones can be added without changing the app.

Can routines send email or change my calendar on their own?

Only when you allow it. Actions that write, such as sending an email, are gated, and drafts wait for your review by default.

Can other AI tools use my Whimbrel memory?

Yes, if you enable it. Whimbrel runs a local MCP server with read-only tools, protected by access tokens you grant per tool, so assistants like Claude Desktop can search your meetings and history.
